Spain: Jobelsa car components investing in Morocco

Spain (Madrid) - "Jobelsa", a Spanish car components company in Tangier, invested 11 million euros for boosting its presence in Morocco, Spanish paper "Expansion" said on Monday.

Established since October near Renault plant in Tangier, Jobelsa invested this amount of money to purchase new machines, said the economic daily on its website.

The enterprise plans, in the months to come, to increase its staff from 210 to 450 workers, it said, recalling that the establishment of the company in Morocco is part of internationalization efforts.

"The decision to gain a foothold in the Kingdom was due to two main things: human resources capable of developing our activity and logistical costs in relation with our clients," the same source said, quoting manager of Jobelsa's.

The Spanish automotive production company has plants in Barcelona and Slovakia. (MAP)
