Egypt Discusses cooperation with Vodafone, India, Singapore

Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology Maged Osman discussed with Vittorio Colao, the CEO of Vodafone, the world's largest mobile telephone company, the group's investments in Egypt.

The two sides also tackled Vodafone's keen interest in maintaining its partnership with Egypt.

In statements Friday, Osman said Colao's visit to Egypt comes in line with the implementation of his ministry's policy aimed at attracting more investments in this vital sector.

Colao, for his part, reiterated the group's commitment to boosting its business in Egypt during the coming phase.

Meanwhile, Osman had talks with Indian Ambassador in Cairo R. Swaminathan on the Indian experiment regarding cyber-voting.

In a related development, the Egyptian official met with Singaporean Ambassador to Egypt Tan Hung Seng to tackle means to promote bilateral relations in the IT domain. (SIS)
