Egypt, Sudan Promoting Agricultural Integration

Egypt and Sudan agreed to revitalize agricultural integration, said Agriculture and Land Reclamation Minister Ayman Abu-Hadid on Wednesday 30/3/2011.

The two countries also stressed the need to further promote efforts to activate the Egyptian-Sudanese agriculture integration company, which operates in Sudan's al-Damazin area.

During a meeting held on the sidelines of the Egyptian-Sudanese higher committee, the two sides agreed to enlist the partnership of both Brazil and Australia in implementing the agricultural integration project.

The remarks were made by Abu-Hadid following his return from Khartoum after participating in the two-day meeting of the joint committee in Khartoum under the co-chairmanship of Prime Minister Essam Sharaf and Sudanese Vice-President Othman Taha.

The two sides also discussed means of boosting bilateral relations as well as a host of regional and international issues of mutual interest. (SIS)
