Sultan Qaboos & Sheikh Khalifa promoting Oman UAE relations

Global Arab Network - HM Sultan of Oman Qaboos bin Said and Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) held a fraternal meeting at Al Rawda Palace in Al Ain City.

During the meeting, the two leaders exchanged cordial conversations and discussed all aspects of the existing bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly neighbors and means of supporting and enhancing the strong fraternal relations binding the Omani and Emirati brotherly peoples that stem from the close family ties and good neighborhood and keenness of the two countries' leaderships to achieve further aspirations of progress and prosperity.

The meeting was attended from the Omani side by Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed al Nu'amani, Royal Office Minister, Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al Busaidi, Interior Minister, Yousef bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, Mohammed bin al Zubair, Advisor to His Majesty the Sultan for Economic Planning Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Hamad al Rumhy, Oil and Gas Minister and Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Ali al Qatabi, Sultanate's ambassador to UAE.

The meeting was attended from the UAE side by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Gen. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan, Heir Apparent of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, Sheikh Tahnoon bin Mohammed al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Eastern Region, Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed al Nahyan, Advisor of National Security, Lt.Gen Sheikh Saif bin Zayed al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Affairs (Head of the Mission of Honor accompanying His Majesty the Sultan), Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, a number of sheikhs and Mohammed bin Ali al Osaimi, UAE ambassador to the Sultanate.

In honor of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan, hosted a luncheon at Al Rawda Palace in Al Ain City this afternoon.

The luncheon was attended with His Majesty by members of the official delegation accompanying His Majesty the Sultan whilst it was attended from the UAE side by a number of sheikhs and senior officials in the sisterly UAE.

Sultan Qaboos bin Said arrived in Al Ain city on a two-day private visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) during which he will discuss with Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan, President of UAE all aspects that may promote the relations between the two countries to the levels that meet aspirations of both peoples and achieve the prospective integration and cooperation in all fields to serve the common interests of both countries and their aspirations towards brighter future, further progress and prosperity for the Omani and Emirati brotherly peoples.

Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan, President of UAE led the welcoming party upon His Majesty's arrival at Al Ain International Airport.

His Majesty the Sultan was also received by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Gen. His Majesty the Sultan was seen off at the Royal Airport by Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, Sayyid Asa'ad bin Tariq al Said, Sayyid Haitham bin Tariq al Said, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Zahir al Hina'ei, Justice Minister, Lt.Gen Hassan bin Mohsen al Shraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs, Commanders of the Sultan's Armed Forces (SAF) and the UAE ambassador to the Sultanate.

During the visit, His Majesty the Sultan is accompanied by an official delegation comprising Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Gen.
