Established in 2004, the Libyan British Business Council (LBBC) promotes business relations and commercial activity between the British and Libyan business communities, primarily through the provision of trade development initiatives and networking opportunities to our members and clients.
We work with and enjoy the support of both the UK and Libyan governments and we have strong working ties with a number of public and private sector organisations including the British Foreign & Commonwealth Office, UK Trade & Investment, the Libyan National Oil Corporation, the British Business Group in Libya and the Libyan Businessmen Council. Our team of highly-regarded staff – each of whom has extensive experience of working in international diplomacy and the global business arena – works to foster high-level links between decision-makers and business leaders in both countries. Our aim is to assist our members to anticipate, identify and act upon the opportunities and the challenges associated with doing business in Libya.
LBBC Membership will afford you and your company a wide range of important benefits. Key services which our members enjoy include introductions to and networking opportunities with government officials, potential partners, clients and in-country agents, access to LBBC expertise and assistance addressing specific business-related issues, negotiation of bureaucratic red-tape, including fast-track applications for multi-entry business visas and provision of high-level market intelligence, news and analysis.
In short, the LBBC provides a unique and invaluable range of services to businesses and organisations operating in Libya, and for companies considering a move into Libyan markets.
